Environment Initiatives

Approaches and Policies

At CARTA, we work together with our customers, including a wide range of corporations and individuals, to create evolution in the world.
However, we also consume electricity because we use personal computers and servers on a daily basis for our business activities.
Many of the services we provide have aspects that encourage new consumption. As a result, we recognize the potential for indirectly increasing the consumption of global resources.
It is our responsibility and our mission to arrange a sustainable business environment and to contribute to environmental protection.
We recognize the key issue of global environmental protection as the foundation for management and business, and we work to resolve this issue through our business activities.

Initiatives

ISO14001

As part of the Dentsu Group Eco Program, we have obtained ISO14001:2015, the international certification for environmental management system, and we continue to improve our environmental performance.

ISO14001

We monitor carbon dioxide emissions and waste from business activities and ensure business continuity by developing plans for disaster prevention across the entire CARTA Group.

The CARTA Forest

Since 2008, we have worked with the EC Navi Forest project at Koshu in Yamanashi Prefecture where we regularly carry out forest conservation, such as planting and thinning trees, and maintaining access paths, in cooperation with local property ward and forestry associations.
When we signed a forest management agreement with Koshu City, the Hishiyama regional asset management body, and Kyoutou Forest Owners’ Cooperative in October 2024, the name was changed to the CARTA Forest.
This ongoing initiative contributes to the sustainable development goals (SDGs). We also aim to pass on valuable forest resources, consisting of approximately two thirds crown land, to the next generation.
