In the digital domain, we are confronted with increasingly complex and sophisticated environmental factors caused by rapid changes in the industry structure and the market environment due to the emergence of generative AI and other new technologies.
In addition, the numerous uncertainties in modern society, including climate change and environmental risks, geopolitical risks, social unrest, demographic change, and changing consumer values, represent major challenges to future planning and strategies.
On the other hand, these uncertainties also have the potential to generate new business opportunities for corporations and individuals.
Considering these social background factors, we have formulated the sustainability vision of “unleashing human potential and future possibilities by pursuing our aspirations for the future.”

At CARTA, the sustainability theme sets out three major courses of action for implementing sustainability management.
We aim to create a business that resolves social issues through business activities centered on the strong points of our company, our human resources and technologies, and the interactions between the two.
After considering consistency with management philosophy and corporate strategy, and gaining a broad grasp of the social problems in Japan and around the world in the medium to long term, we identified the key issues that the CARTA Group should address through the following process.
We developed an understanding of a broad range of issues involving the SDGs and guidelines in Japan and abroad, and organized the issues according to stakeholder viewpoints and social roles.
We conducted interviews with internal and external stakeholders, and identified high priority themes as key issues.
We verified validity and consistency of the key issues by holding discussions with external experts and management at the Sustainability Committee.
Based on a resolution by the Board of Directors, we identified materiality to realize our sustainability vision of “unleashing human potential and future possibilities by pursuing our aspirations for the future.”
We have mapped out materiality on two axes according to importance to stakeholders and impact on the business.
We have worked across the entire Group to set up a system for sound implementation and management to realize the sustainability vision.
