    When was the Company established?

    A

    The company was originally established on October 8,1999 as Acciv Dot Com. The company name was then changed to EV Navi in October 2005, and then to VOYAGE GROUP in October 2011. In January 2019, we completed a merger with Cyber Communications and renamed ourselves to Carta Holdings, Inc.

    Please tell me the background of the company name.

    A

    In Latin, the word root “carta” refers to paper. This led to the term coming to mean a “sea chart” in Portuguese, and it can also be found in the Magna Carta, the foundational document of democracy that gave root to English constitutionalism. As the name implies, we wish to go beyond established thinking and ply a new route through uncharted territory, building a map of understanding. This map will become the new, de facto standard that allows us to constructively enhance digital society in tandem with a range of stakeholders.

Dividends

    Please tell me about your policies regarding dividends.

    Please see the section entitled “Shareholder Incentive Program”. The Company considers the return of profits to shareholders to be a pivotal spoke in the management of the business, and endeavors for the sustainable increase in shareholder value through growth of the business and improvements to capital efficiency. In addition, we offer dividends on a continuous basis and adopt a flexible approach to share buybacks. These and other initiatives form a central pillar in our approach to driving benefits back to shareholders.

    How much is given out in dividends?

    Dividends for the September 2018 fiscal year are 15 JPY per share. As we look to the next fiscal year, projections are made based on a reasonable outlook per the recent merger disclosed herein. As soon as a specific dividend amount is decided upon, it will immediately be announced.

    By when do I need to purchase shares to be eligible for dividends?

    You are eligible for dividends if you purchase shares up to four business days (excludes holidays and weekends) prior to the finalization date used by stock brokerages and securities companies to assess current shareholders of record.

    These are slated to be sent along with the notice and invitation to the regular general meeting of shareholders. This is sent at the end of February each year.

    We wish to take this time to express our deepest gratitude to our shareholders for their show of support, and also our hopes of their using the services our group of companies provides and furthering their understanding and appreciating our raison d’etre as a company.
